NEWS DESK: The fifth hearing on the JIT report concluded on Friday with the Supreme Court getting Volume 10 of the JIT report opened for the first time. Headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, the bench also comprised Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Hassan.

At the outset of the hearing, Salman Akram Raja, the counsel for the PM’s children, began with the arguments. During his arguments, the bench opened Volume 10 of the JIT report, which has yet to be made public, opened.
Justice Saeed said Volume 10 would contain details of the JIT letters, which would help clarify many things. He added that we want to conduct every activity in a transparent manner in the court and bring the truth to the fore.
He said that Volume 10 is being opened on the request of PM’s counsel Khawaja Haris, to which the latter replied that it is the court’s discretion to show it to whomsoever it pleases. Justice Saeed remarked that it is more important to satisfy the PM’s counsel than to satisfy the court.
