Beauty of District Diamer

Diamer District is one of famous district of the Gilgit Baltistan(Northern Areas of Pakistan). It is the district in which the Karakoram Highways enters that territory from the KPK Pakistan, the capital of the district Chilas .Diamer District is bounded by Astor District in the east, by the KPK the southwest (separated by the Babusar pass ), Neelum Valley of Azad kashmir pakistan in the south, the Ghizer valley in the north and northwest, and the Gilgit Districtin the north and northeast.
Before the Karakurm Highway was opened in 1978, the only road reaching Gilgit from the south was a rough track north from Mansehra to Babusar Top  to Chilas ( Headquarter of District Diamer). The road up to Besal is now in better condition, but from Besal to Babusar Top, the road is still a rough track.District Diamer has many beatiful small valleys like Darel,Tangir,Thore Nala,Hudur,Batogah,Ghiner,Thak nala,Gohar Abad,Raikot etc...
The world's ninth highest killer mountain Naga Parbat  also situated in District Diamer.District diamer has vast range of natural forests.the world's most famous tree Pine Abundant there.
